Direct Speech~ Ifaketext.

“ Hi Shantay, What do you think about breakfast in schools? ” questioned Sebastian.
“ Hi Sebastian, I think it is a great idea because some children go to school with an empty stomach!” replied Shantay.
“ I agree on your reason too because it’s mostly children from deprived areas” said Sebastian.
“ Yeah! and did you know that 15% of children don’t go to school without breakfast. This is about 55,000 children per day!” Shantay said stimulating.
“WOW! That is so sad, horrifying, and terrifying to hear.. I did not know!” Sebastian replied astonished.
“Yes! and those are the reasons why I think we should have breakfast in school!”
said Shantay.
We tried to use the information in our ifake text to help us write a conversation between two people. Our focus today was to correctly punctuate the dialogue. We had to include speech marks to show what was being said, begin a new line to show that a new person is speaking and use the correct punctuation (. , ! ?) to show how the words were said (set the mood).
