Tutor someone a new skill

Today I have taught Halatoa a new skill for Maths. I taught him the strategy for adding big equations faster.

Here is some of the examples I have done with him.

Areth Franklin~ Respect

This song is good for YOU! This song was written by Aretha Franklin and she is well known for her original R.E.S.P.E.C.T. This song was made in 1967 and she won the Grammy Award for the best R&B Performance.

Life Collage at PBS

This is my experience at Panmure Bridge School. These photos include when I started this until now. I have really enjoyed my time here and I will still enjoy it today!

Transum addition

This is my Transum.org addition activity that I have completed. I got 12/12 because I used this strategy below to help me solve the equations.

This is my strategy of how I have sold all my problems.

Comment about Direct Speech

This is my comment about what I have learnt in today's lesson about Speech Marks.

Direct Speech~ Ifaketext.

“ Hi Shantay, What do you think about breakfast in schools? ” questioned Sebastian.

“ Hi Sebastian, I think it is a great idea because some children go to school with an                     empty stomach!” replied Shantay.

“ I agree on your reason too because it’s mostly children from deprived areas” said Sebastian.

“ Yeah! and did you know that 15% of children don’t go to school without breakfast. This is about 55,000 children per day!” Shantay said stimulating.

“WOW! That is so sad, horrifying, and terrifying to hear.. I did not know!” Sebastian replied astonished.

“Yes! and those are the reasons why I think we should have breakfast in school!”
said Shantay.

We tried to use the information in our ifake text to help us write a conversation between two people. Our focus today was to correctly punctuate the dialogue. We had to include speech marks to show what was being said, begin a new line to show that a new person is speaking and use the correct punctuation (. , ! ?) to show how the words were said (set the mood).

Ifake text about Breakfasts in school.

This is my 'Iphonetext' online challenge that I have created collaboratively. I used a site called iphonefaketext.com and had a conversation with my buddy Sebastian about 'Should New Zealand providing breakfast in school'
